Chobe River and Safari/ Botswana

July 14th:

We had to walk across the border from Zimbabwe to Botswana. Dale walked back over after crossing to take a picture of  the boys and was told firmly to step in the pan of disinfectant once again!

Our first activity in Botswana was a  Chobe River boat tour. We saw hippos, buffalo, crocs, monitor lizards and many beautiful birds.

These two have been wearing SLR clothing throughout Africa. “Drumming” up business for Uncle Scott in Botswana in this picture. A lot of construction going on in the region😊

Next was a safari in the Kalahari. Our guide got a little too close to this lion and it charged! It had recently killed a baby elephant and it was protecting its food. Scary but a valid response from the poor guy.
